Klassentreffen

When my friend Tobias Kindermann asked me in 2024: "Would you be interested in a joint exhibition with Walter Röhrl, Roland Kussmaul and Hartmut Kristen in a sensational location? But we only have one month to prepare." – I didn't have to think for a second. My answer was immediately clear: Yes!

Tobias is far more than a friend to me – he's a true encyclopedia when it comes to Porsche, and always takes the time to help me with my projects with his knowledge. We met at the summer party of our mutual acquaintances from DP Motorsport and hit it off immediately. His photographs of legends like Walter Röhrl and Roland Kussmaul capture exactly the important details that matter in the respective models. These photographs, which capture the spirit of Porsche, are also available as limited prints, by the way.

Our exhibition "Porsche Benzingespräche" (Porsche Gas Talks) offered a rare opportunity to combine art and automotive culture with three of the most influential personalities in Porsche history. But it was more than a presentation of artworks – it was a gathering that brought the history, passion, and magic of Porsche to life through legends like Walter Röhrl, Roland Kussmaul, and Hartmut Kristen.

Conversations with these personalities significantly deepened my understanding of the fascination with Porsche. Walter Röhrl, two-time rally world champion and test driver, shared inspiring stories that shaped my artistic work. His narratives lent dynamism and a touch of magic to my works.

Roland Kussmaul, the engineer behind iconic RS models, brought me closer to the technical perfection and dedication behind models like the 964 Carrera RS, the 996 GT3 RS, and the Carrera GT. His enthusiasm flowed directly into my art and helped me to better capture the soul of Porsche models.

Hartmut Kristen, former Head of Porsche Motorsport, offered a unique perspective on the evolution of the brand and its motorsport history. His insights into design, innovation, and performance deepened my appreciation for Porsche. These stories are reflected in my paintings – each artwork tells a deeper story.

The over 700-year-old location provided a unique setting for the exhibition. The combination of "Benzingespräche" and the artistic interpretations of Porsche created a magical atmosphere. It was as if these legends breathed life into the images.

This exhibition has left a lasting impression on me as an artist. My works are not just depictions of cars – they are carriers of stories, permeated by the passion and memories of the people who love them.
