When you're young, you don't really think about getting older.
When I was 20, I had the classic goal of being a millionaire by 30.
I worked so hard for it – and one day I asked myself:
Where did the years actually go?
I didn't become a millionaire.
But instead, I found something much more valuable – Sechszylinder.
With this project, I vowed to enjoy the behind-the-scenes process
and also to take more breaks – to not overstretch the passion,
not just work towards a goal.
It's about consciously experiencing and enjoying every phase –
even if it's sometimes difficult in the moment.
Why am I telling you this?
Because I met a very special personality in Roland Kussmaul.
The sparkle in his eyes when he talks about the old rally days is incomparable.
We both misunderstood the breakfast time
and thus sat alone at the table – a moment of luck,
because then I had this legend all to myself.
In that moment, a new goal was born:
By 80, I want to be as vibrant as him.
This energy he exudes is incredible.
I already see myself in an RS,
drifting across the yard,
audible from a kilometer away,
because I'm redlining –
handing out autographs and telling the most wonderful stories.
That's true fulfillment for me:
Not a bank balance,
but the state of being
to still have that sparkle in your eyes at 80.
